This Swedish woman started off her career in engineering physics. She went on to create a revolutionary algorithm for her app Natural Cycles in 2013. The algorithm tracks the fertile periods of women for natural family planning.

This app is used in over 200 countries and close to a million users have downloaded it.

3. Chantelle Bell

Chantelle is the cofounder of Syrona Women, which focuses on fertility for now. However, they plan on expanding their products in the near future. This English techy has also developed an at-home cervical cancer screening kit.

4. Manal Al Sharif

This Saudi Arabian computer scientist is the founder of Women2Hack Academy and has made waves in her country.

Not only was she the only woman at Saudi Aramco (where she worked as an IT security specialist), but she also sparked the movement allowing women to drive. This all started when she posted a driving video on her social media account, which got her thrown into jail for over a week.

5. Joy Buolamwini

This Ghanaian-American computer scientist is the founder of Algorithmic Justice League. She is also a digital activist that wants the community to take a closer look at bias in AI technology.

6. Eileen Burbidge

This American venture capitalist helped found Passion Capital, which is a group that helps entrepreneurs. Currently, she’s based in London and is the Chair of Tech City UK.

7. Sue Black

This UK techy founded #techmums, which is a charity that offers technology classes to mothers. Sue is a computer scientist and is now a government advisor, as well as a mentor at the Google Campus for Mums.

8. Ursula Burns

Ursula was the CEO of huge name brand Xerox from 2010 to 2016, which made her the first African-American to hold an executive position in an S&P 500 company. Today, she is the chairwoman of Xerox and one of the founders of Change the Equation.
